Eckernförde is not only the home of our dear colleague and beach volleyball luminary "Fuchsi", but also a great location for our Kids'n Youth Camps. The beautiful, wide south beach is the most natural beach section of Eckernförde and at the same time the so-called active beach, and offers the best conditions to become a small mecca for beach volleyball in the future.
The youth hostel is also not too far away and thus you have a magnificent view of the Baltic Sea and the Eckernförder Bay. In not even 5 minutes you are at the beach, which offers besides beach volleyball also possibilities for diving, surfing, for boat tours or deep sea fishing. Our beach volleyball courts are located on the south beach, about 15 minutes walk south of the hostel. With a short walk north along the beach you reach the small, lively old town of Eckernförde, which invites you with many small stores for an excursion.

THE WEEK AT A GLANCE
- At the beautiful beach of Eckernförde we find optimal conditions for our children and youth beach volleyball camp. We train twice a day on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, once in the morning and once in the afternoon. In the beginning, we always start a little bit more theoretically in order to work on the basic techniques of beach volleyball, before we incorporate more and more playful training forms from day to day. On Friday we have another training session in the morning before we start our big final tournament in the afternoon. Wednesday is a free day, which we fill with an alternative program.

Training & Game
Whether beginner, intermediate or advanced - at our camp in Eckernförde, children and young people get exactly what they need in training. We divide them into appropriate training groups on site so that they can train and play at exactly the right skill level. Training takes place in the mornings, while in the afternoons we train and/or play different tournament modes.

GROUP & SKILLS
In Eckernförde we are in camp with up to 60 participants and 8 supervisors. The group is deliberately chosen in this size, because we thus create an optimal environment for training, games, competition, side events and especially a lot of fun. Suitable for children and teenagers aged 13-17 years.

At our Kids 'n Youth Camp in Eckernförde, the kids can expect a rich breakfast, where they can also prepare a packed lunch, and a varied dinner with delicious dishes. Water is available for filling on the beach throughout the camp. To save the environment from plastic waste, please be sure to bring your own water bottle to camp (alternatively, you can purchase a water bottle through us).

Events
Not only on, but also off the court we have a lot to offer for the kids and teens at our beach volleyball camp in Eckernförde. Joint games (evenings), excursions, hikes or other activities - we make sure that it is never boring and the kids are cared for and entertained around the clock.

Climate
July/August are among the summer months in Germany and therefore the best time to travel to the Baltic Sea. Temperatures are around 21°C during this time and therefore offer optimal conditions for beach volleyball and other activities. Also the sea is already heated up from the summer and invites to refreshment after the training.
Accommodation
DJH Eckernförde Youth Hostel
From the youth hostel you can enjoy a great view of the Baltic Sea and the kilometer-long sandy beach is within walking distance. Accommodation is in 4-6 person rooms. The hostel is centrally located just 2 km south of Eckernförde's old town, surrounded by nature.
What you still have to take care of
ARRIVAL
In general, the arrival and departure is organized independently by you. The youth hostel is located directly above the Eckernförde Bay and is easy to reach by car and train. The accommodation is only a 15-minute walk from the train station, but we are also happy to pick up the children from the train station and accompany them to the camp. For children and teenagers who come from further away, we offer help in finding suitable transportation - please contact the Beach me office.
EQUIPMENT
Apart from your child's private playing clothes and equipment, we will provide everything they need to play beach volleyball. In addition, water for the training will be available for self-filling. In order for your child to be personally well equipped for practice, we recommend packing the following items:
Headgear, Sunglasses & sunscreen, Swim shorts/tank top or bikini/sports shirt, towel, water bottle
