Praia da Rocha in Portugal, located along the Algarve, is one of the largest sports beaches in Europe. This expansive sandy beach sits directly on the Atlantic and in close proximity to the beautiful, distinctive rocky coastline. Beyond beach volleyball, you can enjoy leisurely hours in the stunning ambiance of the cliffs. The beach provides ample space for sports activities, attracting numerous surf and other water sports providers. Where on earth if not there should we host one of our beach volleyball camps? On-site, we have various information about all other sports activities, and in the evenings, there are plenty of bars to explore if desired.

OVERVIEW
Saturday: Arrival day with check-in & free play
Sunday: Optional group excursion in the morning, or free play. Starting 3:00 PM, Welcome Speech and Get-Together-Tournament.
Monday to Thursday: Training (morning)
Monday to Friday: Tournaments (afternoon, all day on Friday)
Saturday: Departure after breakfast
Saturday serves as both the arrival and departure day of the camp week. At the beginning of your camp, you can check in with our event team from 3:00 PM and use the day to settle in, explore the area, or engage in free play on the courts. On Sunday morning, we offer an optional group excursion, or you can choose to use the courts for free play.
In the afternoon, starting at 3:00 PM, we officially kick off with a welcome session and our introductory tournament, providing a relaxed atmosphere for participants to get to know each other.
SPORT
Training sessions take place every morning from Monday to Thursday (in two blocks, allowing parents, for example, to train at different times). Various tournaments are held in the afternoons from Monday to Thursday. Friday is reserved entirely for our grand final tournament. You can participate for free in all our tournaments, whether with a camp pass or training pass, upon timely registration. And who knows, perhaps there will be an additional match between the coaches in the evening after the tournaments, which you can watch with a refreshing drink in hand. Of course, there are always enough courts available for free play during training and tournaments (for this, you need the camp pass).
Add-on: On Monday and Friday, outside regular training and tournament times, we also offer special beach volleyball workshops for a reasonable fee.
BEACH VOLLEYBALL
Training & Play
Important: At our International People 'n Play Camp at Praia da Rocha, all training sessions will be conducted in English.
At the Camp you have the flexibility to customize your own beach volleyball program. Your booking includes the Camp Pass, which is mandatory if you wish to play beach volleyball on-site (unless you are only a guest or accompanying family member).
a) +180 EUR -> Camp Pass (mandatory):
For 1 camp week, enjoy free participation in all tournaments, free play, ball rental, and use of all other camp facilities (Athletic Tower, Chill-Out Area).
b) +120 EUR -> Training Pass:
In addition to the Camp Pass, you can book the Training Pass and receive 4 training sessions of 1.5 hours each, every morning from Monday to Thursday (according to the Beach Me training schedule). Training is conducted in groups of up to 8 people.
Add-on:
Whether you choose the Camp Pass or both the Camp and Training Pass, you also have the option to book on-site workshops or individual/team training.

With up to 80 participants per week, our Beach Volleyball Camp at Praia da Rocha in the Algarve guarantees a lot of action. The group size is intentionally larger to create an optimal environment for competition, training, free play, side events, and, above all, a lot of fun. Despite the group size, the unique Beach me vibe is constantly present, there's always a sense of being among friends.

Next generation program
New since 2022 at Beach me in Praia da Rocha - the Next Generation Program. Here, your child aged 8 to 13 can learn the fundamental technical skills in beach volleyball. Through play and lots of fun, your child can explore the world of beach volleyball daily and make new friends during the vacation, while you can attend your training with peace of mind.
It's the perfect beach volleyball holiday for the whole family. From Monday to Thursday, your child will be supervised for 3 hours in the morning. The first part of each session consists of beach volleyball-oriented training, and in the second part, they will try to apply what they have learned in game forms.
Cost:
180 EUR per child. You have the option to select this during the booking process.
Food
Our hotel prices include half-board - a delicious and extensive breakfast buffet, as well as a diverse dinner buffet with local and international dishes. Additionally, each dinner includes a soft drink, a beer, or a glass of wine for you. However, lunch is not included in the hotel price. For lunch, we have a partnership with a restaurant directly on the beach. The Casalinho lunch offer awaits you with fair prices, Beach me discounts, and a direct view of our beach volleyball courts. Water for refilling is available throughout the camp at the beach. To help preserve the environment and reduce plastic waste, please be sure to bring your own refill bottle to the camp (alternatively, you can also purchase a refill bottle through us).

Events
Not only on the court but also beside the courts, we have a lot to offer at our Beach Volleyball Camp at Praia da Rocha. For those who haven't had enough after a long day at the beach, evenings bring the promise of sparkling bars and other vibrant venues. To ensure the special Beach me feeling lingers beyond the training sessions, we always aim to gather at a common location in the evenings to get to know each other better and exchange experiences. The local hosts always enjoy welcoming us and offer cool drinks in a laid-back atmosphere at fair prices. At the end of each week, we come together once again to turn the night into day and let loose at the legendary final party.
Those of you eager to explore the surroundings of Portimão may discover small wonderful beaches and charming towns with a fantastic atmosphere.

CLIMATE
The best time to travel along the Algarve is from April to November. In April/May, it gradually becomes warmer, with temperatures hovering around a pleasant 20°C, and there is virtually no precipitation. The sea also warms up slowly, reaching a refreshing 19°C around this time. Ideal conditions for relaxed beach volleyball training.

Hotel da Rocha
The Hotel da Rocha is one of two hotels on-site between which you can choose. It is a modern 4-star hotel, just 200m from the beach, and optionally offers a breathtaking view directly over the Atlantic. You have the choice of various accommodation options (price starting from 350 EUR per week, including breakfast and dinner). At the Hotel da Rocha, we can even accommodate small groups in family apartments. If you sign up alone but don't want a single room, no problem, we'll pair you with other participants. Hotel Jupiter
The Hotel Jupiter is no less in terms of proximity to the camp compared to the Hotel da Rocha. Here, too, you sleep in a 4-star hotel just a stone's throw away from the beautiful beach and the courts. Additionally, you have the opportunity to play billiards in the spacious lobby, use the in-house pool or fitness room, or relax in the modern spa area. You can choose between different room types - whether single or double rooms, with or without sea views, or even a family suite - almost anything is possible here. Even if you are traveling alone, you may be able to share a room. In that case, we will try to book you with another participant.

Things you still need to take care of
ARRIVAL
Generally, you are responsible for organizing your own arrival and departure. We offer transfer services between Faro Airport / Portimão train station and our camp. You will receive all further information during the booking process. For a quick arrival, we generally recommend a flight to Faro, or for those looking to save, Lisbon. (Good to know: From Lisbon, there's a beautiful and cost-effective train connection to Portimão. If flights to Faro are too expensive, you can make a detour via Lisbon and travel to our camp by train). You are also welcome to arrive 1-2 days earlier or depart later to secure your suitable or most affordable flight. In addition to cost savings, you also have the advantage of using our courts for some games or exploring the Praia da Rocha area 1-2 days before or after the camp. Transfer service available from Faro Airport and Portimão train station.

Apart from your personal playing attire and equipment, we provide everything you need for beach volleyball. Additionally, we supply water for training that you can fill up yourself. To ensure you are personally well-equipped for training, we recommend packing the following items:
