Eckernförde is not only the home of our dear colleague and beach volleyball luminary "Fuchsi", but also the perfect location for our People 'n Play Camps. The beautiful, wide south beach is the most natural beach section of Eckernförde and at the same time the so-called active beach, and offers the best conditions to become a small mecca for beach volleyball in the future.
The youth hostel is also not too far away and thus you have a magnificent view of the Baltic Sea and the Eckernförder Bay. In not even 5 minutes you are at the beach, which offers besides beach volleyball also possibilities for diving or surfing, for boat tours or deep sea fishing. Our beach volleyball courts are located on the south beach, about 15 minutes walk south of the hostel. A short walk north along the beach brings you to the small, lively old town of Eckernförde, with its many small stores. Here is also our new accommodation. The coffee and apartment house Heldt, that with its cozy rooms a little further from the beach but the closer to the beautiful old town is located and can be reached by bike in about 10 minutes.

SCHEDULE
THE WEEK AT A GLANCE
- Sunday: Arrival day with check-in & get-to-know-you tournament
- Monday: Optional joint activity (coming soon) in the morning or Free Play, "Beat / Team-Up the Coaches" in the afternoon, official welcome in the evening.
- Tuesday to Friday: Training (mornings)
- Tuesday to Saturday: tournaments (afternoons, except Saturday all day)
- Sunday: After breakfast departure
Sunday is the arrival and departure day of a camp week (for 2023 our trips will be extended by one night, from 6 to 7 nights). At the beginning of your camp, you can check in with our event team on Sundays from 3pm, before we then organize a get-to-know-you tournament from around 4:30pm. Don't worry if you arrive later: the mode is chosen in such a way that you can join or quit at any time. On Monday we offer a joint excursion/activity (coming soon), you can book this optionally.
In the afternoon there will be a "Beat / Team-Up the Coaches" event, so you can already play against/with our coaches & trainers before the camp or watch with a cool drink, before it comes to the official welcome around 6:30 pm.
SPORT
The training sessions always take place in the morning from Tuesday to Friday (in each case in two blocks - so e.g. parents can train staggered). In the afternoon, from Tuesday to Friday, various tournaments are held. Saturday is completely reserved for our big final tournament. You can take part in all our tournaments - no matter if you have a camp pass or a training pass - for free if you register in time. Of course, there will be enough courts available for free play during the training sessions and tournaments (for this you need the camp pass). And who knows, maybe there will be another match of the coaches in the evening after the tournaments, which you can watch with a cool drink in your hand.
Add-On: On Tuesday and Saturday we offer, outside the regular training and tournament times, additional special beach volleyball workshops for a fair fee.
BEACH VOLLEYBALL
Training & Game
At our People 'n Play Camps in Eckernförde at the Baltic Sea you can put together your own beach volleyball program. Basically, your booking includes the camp pass. This is obligatory if you want to play beach volleyball on site (unless you are really only a guest or family member).
a) +180 EUR -> Camp Pass (mandatory): Free participation in all tournaments for 1 camp week, free play, free loan of balls and use of all other camp facilities (athletics tower, chill-out area) included. In addition, there is free admission to the closing party and all other side events.
b) +120 EUR -> Training Pass: In addition to the Camp Pass you can book the Training Pass and receive 4 training sessions of 1.5 hours each every morning from Tuesday to Friday (according to Beach me training schedule). Training takes place in groups of maximum 8 persons.

Regardless of whether you choose the Camp or the Camp and Training Pass, you also have the option of booking a workshop offer or individual/team training on site.

Next Generation Program (per child 180 EUR ):
In Eckernförde we have the Next Generation offer in the program. Children aged 8-13 years learn here (from Tuesday-Friday) the technical and playful basics of beach volleyball with a lot of fun. So the adults can enjoy the training sessions and the time for free play in the morning and the kids can find new friends for the time of the vacation.

With up to 120 participants per week, a lot of action is guaranteed at our beach volleyball camp in Eckernförde on the Baltic Sea. The group is deliberately chosen larger so that we create an optimal environment for competition, training, free play, side events and above all a lot of fun. Despite the group size, the special Beach me - vibe is not lost and you always somehow have the feeling to be among friends.

Next generation program
New at Beach me since 2022 - the Next Generation program. In camps with this additional offer, your child between the ages of 8 and 13 will learn the first technical basics of beach volleyball. Playfully and with a lot of fun, the children also experience the topic of beach volleyball and find new friends for the time of the vacation, while you yourself can take care of your training in a relaxed way.
The perfect beach volleyball vacation for the whole family. From Tuesday to Friday your child will be supervised for 3 hours in the morning. The first part of each session consists of beach volleyball oriented training and in the second part we try to apply what we have learned in game forms.
Cost: 180 EUR per child. You can add this option in the booking process.
Catering
At our People 'n Play Camp in Eckernförde you can expect a rich breakfast, where you can also prepare your packed lunch, and a varied dinner with delicious dishes. Water is available for filling on the beach during the entire camp. To save the environment from plastic waste, please bring your own water bottle to the camp (alternatively you can purchase a water bottle from us).

Events
Not only on but also off the court we have a lot to offer at our beach volleyball camp in Eckernförde. In order to keep the special beach me feeling even after the training, we always try to go to a common location in the evening to get to know each other better and to exchange ideas. So if you haven't worked out enough after a long day at the beach, you can look forward to relaxing drinks from the Beach me Bar or chilling out together on the beach in the evenings, for example at our coach matches. At the end of each week, we turn the night into day and let it rip at the legendary closing party.

Climate
August is one of the summer months in Germany and therefore the best time to visit the Baltic Sea. Temperatures are around 21°C during this time and therefore offer optimal conditions for beach volleyball and other activities. Also the sea is already heated up from the summer and invites to refreshment after training.
Accommodation
DJH Youth Hostel Eckernförde
From the youth hostel you can enjoy a great view of the Baltic Sea and the kilometer-long sandy beach is within walking distance. Accommodation is in 4-6 person rooms. The hostel is centrally located just 2 km south of Eckernförde's old town, surrounded by nature.
What you still have to take care of
ARRIVAL
In general, the arrival and departure is organized by you independently. The hostel is located directly above the Eckernförde Bay and is easy to reach by train, as the accommodation is only 15 minutes walk from the station. The apartment house Heldt is even only 5 minutes walk to the station. If you want to arrive by car, this is also no problem. Free parking is available for guests of the hostel and the Apartmenthotel Heldt. Since these are limited, please let us know in advance so that we can clarify this in time with the accommodation.
EQUIPMENT
Apart from your private playing clothes and equipment, we provide everything you need to play beach volleyball. In addition, we will provide you with water for the training to fill yourself. So that you are personally well equipped for the training, we recommend that you pack the following things:
Headgear, Sunglasses & sunscreen, Swim shorts/tank top or bikini/sports shirt, towel, water bottle

IMPORTANT:
All listed prices are per person based on full occupancy of the respective room type and include accommodation with half board in the youth hostel as well as the camp pass. Other beach volleyball packages such as the training pass and transfers, if applicable, will be added to these prices in the booking process. Spa tax must be paid on site.
